PhoneBros ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website (www.phone-bros.com), use our services, or visit our retail locations in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

By using our website or services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you use our services, including: your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address when you book a repair, place an order, or submit a trade-in request.

When you trade in a device, we collect device information including IMEI numbers, serial numbers, device model, storage capacity, and condition details. This information is necessary to verify device ownership and determine trade-in value.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit our website, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages viewed. This helps us understand how visitors use our site and improve the experience.

Your device's IMEI or serial number may be checked against third-party databases to verify ownership status. This information is used solely for verification purposes and is not shared, sold, or stored beyond what is necessary to complete the transaction.

Devices reported as lost, stolen, or flagged in national databases will not be accepted for trade-in and may be reported to local law enforcement as required by Massachusetts law.

Card payments, both on this website and at our store counters, are processed by Square, a PCI-compliant payment processor. PhoneBros does not store your full credit card number, expiration date, or CVV on our servers. Square's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

If you choose to pay over time with Affirm, your application and the financial information in it are submitted to and handled directly by Affirm under its own privacy policy and terms. PhoneBros does not receive your application or the details of any credit decision. What we receive is confirmation that the purchase was financed, together with the name, email address, phone number, and shipping address you gave Affirm, which we use to create and fulfill your order.

If you use Acima Leasing for financing, your application and financial information are handled directly by Acima under their own privacy policy and terms.

We use the information we collect to: process and fulfill repair orders, trade-ins, and device purchases; communicate with you about your orders, appointments, and account; send transactional emails such as order confirmations and repair status updates; improve our website, services, and customer experience; comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

We use email to send transactional messages related to your orders, repairs, and trade-ins. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we may send promotional content about new services, products, and special offers.

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email. Transactional emails related to active orders or repairs cannot be opted out of.

Our website uses Google Analytics to measure site traffic and understand usage patterns, and it is on by default. You can turn it off at any time using the "Your Privacy Choices" control at the bottom of this page — your choice is saved on this device and respected on every future visit. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we honor it as an opt-out automatically.

We do not run advertising pixels, remarketing tags, or retargeting cookies of our own, and we do not sell your browsing data. With Google signals enabled (see "Google Analytics Advertising Features" below), Google may use its own cookies to associate your visit with your Google account inside its advertising systems; that association happens on Google's side, and what we receive back is aggregated and anonymous.

We have turned on Google Analytics features that go beyond basic page counts: Google signals, granular location and device data collection, and User-ID. This section explains what each one does and how to opt out.

Google signals: if you are signed in to a Google account and have left ad personalization turned on in that account, Google may associate your activity on our site with information from your Google account. What we receive back is aggregated and anonymous — age ranges and broad interest categories across our whole audience, never an individual's identity. You can opt out for every site, not only ours, through your Google account's Ads Settings at myadcenter.google.com, or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Granular location and device data: Google Analytics collects your city, browser version, device brand and model, operating system version, and screen resolution. We use this to find and fix problems on specific devices and browsers — the exact devices we repair. It does not include a street address and it is not tied to your name.

User-ID: this feature is enabled on our Google Analytics property. It allows a business to send its own account number so that repeat visits from one customer are counted as one person rather than several strangers. Our website does not currently send any such number to Google Analytics. If that changes, we will send only a meaningless ID number — never a name, email address, phone number, or device IMEI — and we will update this page before we do.

User-provided data: this feature sends Google a hashed — one-way scrambled and unreadable — version of an email address or phone number you gave us, so that an order can be matched back to a visit. We do not send user-provided data today. If we begin, we will disclose it here, and we will never send information taken from a repair intake, a device diagnostic, or a data-recovery job — only details you typed into a checkout or contact form yourself.

All of this stops entirely if you turn analytics off using the "Your Privacy Choices" control at the bottom of this page, or if your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal. When analytics is off, Google's scripts are never loaded, so nothing is sent to Google at all.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our business, including our payment processor (Square), financing partners (Affirm and Acima Leasing), IMEI verification services, email delivery services, and Google for website analytics.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or to comply with a legal process.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to: request access to the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements; opt out of marketing communications at any time.

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
